Salmaniya: The Ministry of Works announced the start of development works on Road 2904 in Block 329 in the Salmaniya area of the Capital Governorate.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Hamad Ibrahim Badow, Director of Roads Projects and Maintenance at the ministry, stated that the project focuses on the section adjacent to Salmaniya Medical Complex and the Arabian Gulf University. The development extends from Salmaniya Avenue in the north to King Abdulaziz Road in the south, covering a distance of approximately 600 metres.
Badow emphasized that the project is part of the ministry's ongoing efforts to enhance the road network and improve traffic safety in key areas across the Kingdom of Bahrain. The initiative aims to improve traffic flow, reorganize and expand parking spaces, and minimize irregular parking to alleviate congestion and promote road safety.
The development works will include the reconstruction of road infrastructure, relocation and protection of underground services, installation of a drainage network, construction of pavements and parking areas, and installation of traffic signs and road markings.
The ministry urged road users to adhere to traffic signs and instructions in the work area to ensure public safety and maintain smooth traffic flow.
