Bahrain’s Parliamentary Delegation Attends Arab Scout Parliamentarians Union Assembly in Morocco

Rabat: Bahrain's participation in the 18th General Assembly of the Arab Scout Parliamentarians Union was marked by the presence of MP Jalal Kadhem Al Mahfoudh as part of the Kingdom's parliamentary division delegation. The event, held in the Kingdom of Morocco, saw MP Al Mahfoudh emphasize the critical role of Bahraini parliamentary diplomacy in fostering solidarity and unified stances on regional developments. He underscored the significance of dialogue and diplomatic efforts to maintain regional security and stability.

According to Bahrain News Agency, MP Al Mahfoudh highlighted Bahrain's position as a model nation in terms of reinforcing the rule of law and institutions. He spoke of the Kingdom's commitment to promoting citizenship, coexistence, and tolerance, as well as supporting joint Arab initiatives under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the guidance of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

The delegation, led by MP Mohammed Jassim Al Aliwi and comprising MP Redha Ibrahim Monfaredi and MP Jalal Kadhem Al Mahfoudh, highlighted Bahrain's efforts in collaboration with neighboring countries to address the repercussions of Iranian aggression on regional security and the global economy. They stressed the importance of enhanced parliamentary cooperation and coordination.

MP Al Mahfoudh also commended the strong national unity and public solidarity exhibited across Bahrain under the leadership of His Majesty the King, acknowledging the contributions of the armed forces and all security and civil authorities. He remarked that the delegation's participation was in line with the directives of Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, aimed at enhancing Bahrain's parliamentary presence and activating Bahraini parliamentary diplomacy on regional and international stages.

The assembly addressed various parliamentary and youth empowerment topics, along with forthcoming programmes and activities of the Arab Scout Parliamentarians Union.
