Bahrain Secures Gold in Handball at the 4th GCC Games

Doha: The Kingdom of Bahrain concluded the 2026 Gulf Cooperation Council Games in Doha by winning gold in handball with a perfect unbeaten record, confirming the team's dominance at Gulf and Asian level.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the handball title lifted Bahrain's final tally to 63 medals, including 25 gold, 22 silver, and 16 bronze. This achievement marks the country's highest-ever gold medal haul at the Gulf Games.

Bahrain had previously won 21 medals in 2011, 43 in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and 64 in the State of Kuwait, including 20 golds. The new record of 25 gold medals in Doha showcases the continued progress and success of Bahrain's athletes.
