Abu Dhabi Ports Group Launches Comprehensive Inland Logistics Network

Abu dhabi: Abu Dhabi Ports Group announced the establishment of a consolidated multimodal inland logistics network linking rail-connected dry ports and cargo depots across the United Arab Emirates (UAE), including the KEZAD Group's Industrial City of Abu Dhabi (ICAD). The network aims to strengthen cargo movement across the UAE and the wider region by connecting Khalifa Port and Fujairah Terminals with inland logistics hubs and industrial zones.

According to Bahrain News Agency, AD Ports Group also signed memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA), EMSTEEL Group, Al Ghurair Iron and Steel, and Tenaris to support the network as anchor industrial cargo partners. The initiative is intended to improve supply chain efficiency, facilitate the movement of industrial materials and finished goods, and enhance connectivity between production sites, inland markets, and regional trade corridors.

Captain Mohamed Juma Al Shamisi, Managing Director and Group Chief Executive Officer of AD Ports Group, said the project supports the UAE's industrial logistics infrastructure and enhances the commercial use of the national rail network.
