Riffa:His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa chaired a meeting at Riffa Palace to discuss the latest developments in the Kingdom of Bahrain's Afforestation Plan and the Bahrain Mangroves Initiative.
According to Bahrain News Agency, His Highness emphasized the significance of National Tree Week in promoting environmental awareness, encouraging afforestation, and expanding green spaces, aligning with the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
His Highness reiterated that environmental initiatives in the Kingdom are vital to national efforts aimed at protecting the environment, preserving natural resources, and ensuring sustainability. He expressed gratitude for the continued support from His Royal Highness for national environmental programs, which is essential in fostering a culture of tree planting and enhancing community involvement through National Tree Week.
During the meeting, His Highness was updated on the progress of implementation efforts, commending the work of all relevant entities and the role of community initiatives in supporting and strengthening these efforts. He highlighted the widespread participation in National Tree Week activities, noting its significance in promoting afforestation and fostering community partnerships in environmental conservation.
His Highness stated that achieving the objectives of the Kingdom's Afforestation Plan requires increased efforts and broader participation from individuals and community organizations in initiatives aimed at expanding green spaces and promoting environmentally friendly practices.
