Manama:Osama bin Saleh Al Alawi, the Minister of Social Development, met with Khalid Abdulsalam Al Mekwad, the United Nations Resident Coordinator in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting focused on the existing cooperation between Bahrain and the United Nations in various development fields. Minister Al Alawi highlighted the ministry's dedication to enhancing this collaboration to support national priorities and the Sustainable Development Goals.
The discussion also involved reviewing current cooperative efforts and exploring opportunities for developing joint programs and initiatives in social development. Al Mekwad praised Bahrain's initiatives in social development and reaffirmed the United Nations' commitment to continued cooperation and coordination to support these development programs and achieve common objectives.
