Manama:Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bahrain, engaged in a telephone conversation with Sergey Lavrov, the Russian Foreign Minister, to discuss the enduring relationship between their nations.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the ministers explored ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in various sectors, with a focus on political and diplomatic engagement within the United Nations Security Council. They aimed to align their efforts on significant issues to promote shared interests and objectives.
The discussion also touched upon the outcomes of Sergey Lavrov's recent visit to Bahrain on October 18, where he participated in the ministerial meeting of the Strategic Dialogue between the Gulf Cooperation Council and Russia. Both parties stressed the need to follow up on the visit's results to elevate bilateral cooperation to new levels.
Furthermore, the conversation included an assessment of the latest regional developments. The ministers considered ongoing efforts to de-escalate tensions and promote dialogue and diplomacy to address regional conflicts, contributing to regional security and stability.
