Manama: Lieutenant-General Tariq bin Hassan Al Hassan, Chief of Police and Chairman of the Scientific Council of the Royal Academy of Police, attended the graduation ceremony of 878 new police officers. This event, which also marked the graduation of the seventh cohort of the Community Police, was held in the presence of senior officials from the Ministry of Interior.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Lt-Gen Al Hassan emphasized the support from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the involvement of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa in enhancing security and stability. The Ministry of Interior, led by General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, continues to push for modernization and development in various sectors to ensure optimal readiness and efficiency.
Lt-Gen Al Hassan praised the Royal Academy of Police for its training programs that align with international standards and modern policing practices. The 878 graduates underwent rigorous training to tackle contemporary challenges, adopting advanced systems to combat organized crime and adhere strictly to police procedures. He also acknowledged the Labour Fund (Tamkeen) for its role in developing national talent.
The training provided to graduates prepares them to maintain high professional standards, uphold the law, and build trust between the police force and the community. Major-General Fawaz Hassan Al Hassan, Commandant of the Royal Academy of Police, highlighted that the graduates received comprehensive training, including field exercises and public engagement techniques, to ensure they are well-prepared for their duties.
Following the swearing-in ceremony, the Chief of Police honored the top graduates and congratulated all new officers for completing their training with excellence. He praised their commitment to security and expressed his best wishes for their future service to the nation.
