Evening appointment booking service available through Sehati app


Manama, The Information and eGovernment Authority (iGA), in cooperation with primary health care centres, announced the launch of an Evening Appointment Booking service through the Sehati (My Health) application, which is available on the eGovernment Applications Store at www.bahrain.bh/apps.

The extension to the appointment booking service covers General Practice at healthcare centers. Citizens and residents can now schedule evening medical appointments electronically, in addition to the existing morning appointments service.

The iGA highlighted that registering for the “Choose Your Doctor programme” is a pre-requisite for benefiting from this service, which allows the public to select their designated family doctors. Users also have the flexibility to change, cancel, or reschedule their appointments.

The new service is a useful addition to existing Sehati eServices, allowing for the convenient booking of appointments as well as access to appointment records at government healthcare facilities. By offerin
g more services through “Sehati app,” iGA demonstrates its commitment to digital transformation and accessibility. The app’s user-friendly interface and transaction efficiency are major contributors to its high usage rates.

The public can access appointment bookings via the standard eKey by selecting the desired option on the main page of the Sehati (My Health) application and going through the necessary steps, including entering patient data. After verifying their registration for the “Choose Your Doctor program”, the application will electronically determine the affiliated health center, and users can then choose a suitable appointment time.

The application offers access to a comprehensive range of services provided by various healthcare institutions in the kingdom, including recent additions such as blood donation and sports.

Medical examination certificates services were introduced last year. Also included are Find a Doctor, Ask a Doctor, medication list viewing, and prescriptions home delivery service
covering the Salmaniya Medical Complex (SMC) pharmacy, as well as appointment preview and booking at SMC and King Hamad University Hospital (KHUH).

The application user-friendly interface and innovative design offer a seamless browsing experience. Other eServices offered by the application include requests, issuance, and replacement of birth certificates. The application provides convenient access to pharmaceutical facilities, enabling users to access information about pharmacies. Users can conveniently check their blood test and radiology results at SMC and KHUH, among other services, through the application’s medical results features.

Injured Staff from Jordanian Field Hospital in Gaza Evacuated to Jordan for Treatment

Amman – In Amman, the Jordan Armed Forces (JAF) recently carried out a mission to evacuate injured staff from the Jordanian Field Hospital, Gaza/76, following a bombing incident.

According to Jordan News Agency, the evacuation to Al-Hussein Medical City was executed under royal directives after the hospital’s emergency department was targeted on Wednesday, November 15. The staff were in the process of treating Gazans injured by Israeli bombings in the area when the incident occurred.

Upon arrival in Jordan, the injured were received by the Director General of the Royal Medical Services and the Director of Military Operations. An initial assessment revealed that their injuries ranged from minor to stable. They are now set to undergo comprehensive laboratory and radiological testing at Al Hussein Medical City, where they will receive further medical care.

The Jordanian Field Hospital in Gaza, established in 2009, plays a critical role in providing medical and therapeutic services to the residents of the Gaza Strip. It is equipped with a full range of clinics and medical equipment to handle various medical situations.

Palestinian Delegation Visits Jordanian Field Hospital

Nablus – In Nablus, a delegation from various official institutions of the city visited the private Jordanian field hospital, Nablus/1, on Monday. According to representatives from the delegation, their visit was aimed at understanding the hospital’s operations and the range of medical services it provides, particularly in light of the current situation.

The group received a comprehensive briefing on the hospital’s clinics and medical specialties. They toured various departments and facilities, observing the ongoing work and the array of medical specialties offered. This visit highlighted the hospital’s commitment to providing the best possible health and treatment services to the Palestinian community.

Members of the delegation expressed their gratitude towards the hospital staff for their significant role and noble mission in delivering humanitarian aid. Palestinian Interior Minister Visits Jordanian Field Hospital in Nablus

Ramallah – Palestinian Minister of Interior, Maj. Gen. Ziad Hab Al-Reeh, recently visited the Jordanian field hospital Nablus/1, accompanied by his delegation. The visit underscored the ongoing collaboration and support between Jordan and Palestine in healthcare and humanitarian aid.

According to Jordan News Agency, the hospital commander provided the delegation with a comprehensive briefing on the hospital’s operations. This briefing covered the various clinics, medical specialties, and the types of medical, therapeutic, and humanitarian assistance provided to different groups in the community, especially considering the current challenges.

During the tour of the hospital’s facilities, the delegation noted the vital role and significant mission of the hospital staff in delivering a range of humanitarian services. Maj. Gen. The Jordanian Field Hospital in Nablus, operating on royal orders, has been a crucial healthcare provider in the region. Since its inception, it has been working around the clock, serving approximately 800 patients to date, as part of Jordan’s broader commitment to deploying several military field hospitals across the West Bank and Gaza Strip.

JHCO Launches Three Medical Aid Flights to Gaza

Amman, Jordan: The Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO) has dispatched two planes loaded with medical supplies to the Gaza Strip on Friday, with a third plane scheduled to depart tomorrow.

According to Jordan News Agency, JHCO Secretary General Hussein Al Shibli. Al Shibli stated that this aid, a collaboration between various Jordanian agencies and the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), is coordinated with the Arab Republic of Egypt. The three aircraft are carrying a total of 77 tonnes of medicines and medical equipment to El Arish airport, from where they will be transferred to the Egyptian Red Crescent.

With these flights, JHCO has now sent ten planes to Gaza since the onset of the recent events, delivering food, medical supplies, and medications. The organization continues to receive cash donations through multiple channels, including Bank al Etihad and its website.

WHO Coordinates Patient Evacuations from Gaza Hospitals Amid Truce?

Geneva, Switzerland: The World Health Organization (WHO) is actively coordinating the evacuation of patients from hospitals in northern Gaza, including Al-Shifa Hospital, amid the recent truce. This effort is part of the organization’s response to the ongoing crisis in the region.

According to Jordan News Agency, there is significant concern for the safety of approximately 100 patients and medical staff remaining at Al-Shifa Hospital. The organization is working to ensure their safe evacuation as the ceasefire takes effect, highlighting the critical need for medical and humanitarian assistance in the area.

Nablus Field Hospital Begins Serving Local Community

Nablus – The newly established Jordanian Field Hospital “Nablus/1” began its operations on Thursday, welcoming patients and providing a range of medical and therapeutic services. This initiative is part of Jordan’s commitment to supporting the Palestinian people during their current challenges. The hospital director highlighted that the medical team is focused on delivering the highest standard of care to alleviate the suffering of patients. On its opening day, the hospital attended to 33 cases, including minor surgeries, chronic illness treatments, lab tests, and emergency interventions.

According to Jordan News Agency, Nablus residents have expressed their gratitude towards Jordan, particularly acknowledging King Abdullah II’s leadership in offering consistent medical and humanitarian assistance. The field hospital is well-equipped with diverse medical specialties, featuring seven trailers, two operation rooms, intensive care units, and a 15-bed capacity. It also includes a laboratory, pharmacy, x-ray lab, dental clinic, and a sterilization room.
