Works Minister Evaluates Sewerage Network Project Progress in Al Lawzi and Hamad Town

Manama: Ebrahim bin Hasan Al Hawaj, Minister of Works, reviewed the progress on the sewerage network project serving Block 1016 in Al Lawzi and Block 1203 in Hamad Town. Shaikh Meshaal bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Works Undersecretary, and Fathi Abdulla Al Farea, Assistant Undersecretary for Sanitary Engineering, were present during the review.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the minister stated that the project forms part of the ministry's efforts to expand and enhance sewerage infrastructure in response to urban development and the growing demand for services across the Kingdom. Currently, the project has reached 70% completion and aims to provide a new sewerage network for 968 properties.

The project includes the installation of main and secondary pipelines, the construction of 754 inspection chambers, and the establishment of a new pumping station with a capacity of 650 liters per second. Al Hawaj emphasized the importance of completing the project on schedule, underscoring its role in improving the efficiency and sustainability of sewerage services in the area.
