Parliamentary Delegation and Serbian Ambassador Discuss IPU Global Conference of Women Parliamentarians 2026

Manama: Dr. Mohamed Ali Hasan Ali, Head of the Public Utilities and Environment Committee at the Shura Council, met with Tatjana Garcevic, Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to the Kingdom of Bahrain, to discuss preparations for Bahrain's participation in the IPU Global Conference of Women Parliamentarians 2026, scheduled to take place in Belgrade from June 1 to 4.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting reviewed coordination efforts to support Bahrain's parliamentary delegation and ensure its effective participation in the conference, organised by the Inter-Parliamentary Union in cooperation with the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia.

Dr. Ali highlighted the conference's role in promoting women's participation in parliamentary and public life and facilitating the exchange of international experiences on equality, empowerment, and decision-making. He also praised Serbia's efforts in hosting the event and strengthening parliamentary dialogue and cooperation.

The Ambassador affirmed Serbia's commitment to supporting Bahrain's delegation and underscored the growing ties between the two countries across various sectors.
