South Korea’s Food Industry Exports Surpass $7.8 Billion

Seoul: South Korea's food industry exports saw an 8.3% increase year-on-year, reaching $7.86 billion in 2025.

According to Bahrain News Agency, data from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety and the National Food Safety Information Service highlighted significant growth in various segments of the food industry. Exports of ready-to-eat and convenience foods amounted to $776.06 million, while roasted seaweed exports reached $562.39 million.

The data further indicated a 4.3% rise in the food industry's production value, totaling 119.73 trillion won in the previous year. The food sector contributed 4.5% to South Korea's gross domestic product and accounted for 16.4% of the total domestic manufacturing output.
