UAE Marks Three Years of Operation Chivalrous Knight 3 with Significant Humanitarian Achievements

Abu Dhabi:The United Arab Emirates (UAE) commemorated the third anniversary of Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, initiated on November 5, 2023, under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE. The operation was designed to deliver humanitarian, relief, medical, and food aid to the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, addressing their needs amid challenging humanitarian circumstances.

According to Bahrain News Agency, over the past three years, the operation has evolved into a comprehensive humanitarian framework that includes food, medical, water, and shelter assistance. It also encompasses healthcare, education, support for women, children, the elderly, and people with disabilities, as well as community initiatives and psychosocial support programs.

The UAE's aid through this operation has surpassed 136,000 tonnes, valued at more than $4.16 billion, representing approximately 46% of the total international humanitarian assistance received in the Gaza Strip. The relief and transport operations have been extensive, involving 792 aircraft, 26 ships, and 14,711 trucks, along with 81 airdrop missions as part of the Birds of Goodness initiative. Aid has been continuously delivered by land, air, and sea to ensure it reaches those in need.

In healthcare, more than 294,000 individuals have received medical treatment through the operation. This has included the establishment of equipped health centers and field hospitals, as well as the deployment of medical convoys carrying essential medicines, equipment, and supplies in partnership with the World Health Organisation (WHO).

The operation has also expanded its food assistance program, running 40 community kitchens that produce approximately eight million meals annually. Additionally, it supports around 27 bakeries, capable of producing up to 1.5 million bundles of bread each year, thereby bolstering food security for affected families.

Seasonal projects and initiatives remain a focus, with the Winter Clothing initiative aiming to benefit one million individuals in Gaza by supplying clothing, blankets, and heating supplies for children, women, men, and the elderly. The operation's team continues to organize aid convoys from the UAE humanitarian aid logistics center in Al Arish, Egypt, ensuring the smooth delivery of assistance to Gaza.

Operation Chivalrous Knight 3 underscores the UAE's dedication to humanitarian solidarity and mutual support, highlighting its role in supporting the Palestinian people and providing sustainable aid that meets the essential needs of Gaza's residents.
