Mumtalakat Announces Strategic Investment in Tanami at Gateway Gulf 2026

Baku:Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company (Mumtalakat), the sovereign wealth fund of the Kingdom of Bahrain, has announced a strategic investment in Tanami, a digital private markets investment platform, during the Gateway Gulf 2026 event.

According to Bahrain News Agency, this investment is aimed at supporting Tanami's expansion into new markets and developing a wider array of products. The move comes amidst increasing investor interest in private markets across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region.

The investment is in line with Mumtalakat's strategy to optimize, enhance, and grow its portfolio by investing in businesses that have the potential to generate sustainable long-term returns and contribute to the local economy. It also demonstrates Mumtalakat's commitment to supporting local companies in their regional expansion and strengthening their international competitiveness.

Tanami collaborates with international asset managers and global banks to offer investors in the region access to institutional investment opportunities. The platform, which launched in Bahrain in 2025 under the supervision of the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB), subsequently entered the Saudi market after obtaining a license from the Capital Market Authority. Tanami plans further regional and international expansion.

In addition to these developments, Tanami won the third edition of the Startup of the Year competition, sponsored by Mumtalakat, reinforcing the company's success in the industry.
