Kuwait city: The Public Authority of Civil Aviation (PACA) announced the resumption of air navigation in Kuwait after a temporary closure of the country's airspace as a precautionary measure following Iran's ballistic missile attacks. The airspace was closed to ensure the safety of passengers and flight operations.
According to Bahrain News Agency, PACA implemented approved emergency procedures and plans to safeguard passengers, flight crews, and civil aviation facilities during the closure. The temporary suspension of airspace operations lasted from 4:15 a.m. to 6:15 a.m. During this period, 11 flights operated by Kuwait Airways and Jazeera Airways were diverted to neighboring airports as a precautionary step to maintain safety and operational continuity.
PACA confirmed that coordination with relevant authorities led to the determination that the situation had stabilized, allowing for the resumption of normal air traffic operations from 6:15 a.m. The authority also noted that flights diverted from Kuwait International Airport to Dammam and Riyadh were able to resume their scheduled routes after the airspace was reopened.
