Manama: Marc M¡rquez, rider for Ducati, secured a deserved victory in the sprint race of the Hungarian Grand Prix in the MotoGP World Championship, after controlling the race from start to finish. M¡rquez delivered a strong performance that allowed him to maintain the lead throughout the race, finishing 1.5 seconds ahead of KTM rider Pedro Acosta, who came in second.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Marco Bezzecchi, the championship leader and Aprilia rider, finished third, while Trackhouse rider Raºl Fern¡ndez took fourth. The achievement comes after M¡rquez's recent return to competition following recovery from two surgeries on his shoulder and foot last month, as he secured the win after starting from pole position.
With this victory, M¡rquez equalled the record for the most sprint race wins in the MotoGP World Championship, held by Spain's Jorge Martn with 18 wins.
