Manama: Yousif Mohammed Al Binkhalil, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Information, visited Youth City 2030 to review a range of media programmes and activities presented by the Ministry of Information. These programmes are part of the ministry's participation in the 15th edition of the initiative, themed "Create Your Media Experience."
According to Bahrain News Agency, Al Binkhalil commended the initiative for its ongoing success in offering a practical training environment. This environment is designed to help develop young people's skills, identify emerging talent, and equip participants with practical experience in various media disciplines.
The undersecretary emphasized the Kingdom of Bahrain's unwavering commitment to preparing a capable generation under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. This commitment aims to contribute to the comprehensive development process. Al Binkhalil also highlighted the support and close follow-up of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the King's Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, for initiatives that develop young people's capabilities, with Youth City 2030 being a prime example.
Al Binkhalil stated that the ministry's involvement reflects its dedication to nurturing national talent through specialized training programmes that align with the rapid evolution of the media sector. These initiatives aim to enhance participants' professional and creative skills while providing practical experience through hands-on training, preparing qualified Bahraini professionals to contribute to the national media sector's ongoing development.
During his visit, the undersecretary attended the closing ceremony of the "8PM News Bulletin Challenge," a ministry programme at Youth City 2030. This challenge involves producing television news bulletins in a fully integrated professional environment, allowing participants to experience all stages of news production and gain practical insights into working within media organizations.
At the conclusion of his visit, Al Binkhalil honored the winners of the challenge, praising their performance, creativity, and teamwork. He expressed his wishes for their continued success and stressed the importance of such initiatives in discovering and nurturing Bahraini talent, enhancing young people's readiness to join the media sector, and supporting the future of Bahrain's media industry through promising national competencies.
