Manama: His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of the Prime Minister's Court and Chairman of the High Committee of the Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club (REHC), led a pivotal meeting of the High Committee of the REHC. This meeting focused on reviewing strategic plans for the 2025-2026 horseracing season, acknowledging the efforts of national personnel in organizing races and championships both locally and internationally.
According to Bahrain News Agency, during the meeting, HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman highlighted the continuous development in Bahrain's horseracing sector. He pointed out the support from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, which has been instrumental in enhancing the organization of races and elevating Bahrain's international presence in horseracing.
HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman praised the contributions of partners and sponsors, which have been vital to the success of the racing season. He stressed the importance of ongoing efforts to improve various areas in the horseracing sector, ensuring its development in the coming seasons. His Highness emphasized working with determination to build on past successes and advance the sector through strategic projects and initiatives, reinforcing Bahrain's position as a competitive destination in regional and international horseracing.
The committee examined the organizational aspects of international races such as the Bahrain International Trophy and the Bahrain International Championship. The focus was on enhancing the organizational and technical performance of these events to solidify their status among prominent international horseracing events.
The meeting also covered the club's development master plan, which includes sports, tourism, and investment projects aimed at transforming the REHC into an integrated sports center. These projects align with the future vision of supporting Bahrain's sports and tourism sectors.
Additionally, a presentation on the management and regulations of the racing programme was reviewed, aiming to identify opportunities for further development in the coming seasons, thereby enhancing the standard of both local and international horseracing.
