Jeddah: King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, chaired the Cabinet session in Jeddah. The Cabinet reaffirmed Saudi Arabia's steadfast position in support of regional and international security and stability.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Cabinet reiterated the Kingdom's commitment to its humanitarian role in providing assistance to those in need and affected communities around the world. Salman bin Youssef Al Dossary, Minister of Media of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, highlighted that the Cabinet reviewed development achievements under Saudi Vision 2030. These achievements include Saudi Arabia's advancement to 13th place globally and third among G20 countries in the IMD World Competitiveness Yearbook 2026, along with retaining first place globally in the Global Cybersecurity Index for the third consecutive year.
The Cabinet commended the performance of the Health Sector Transformation Programme and the National Industrial Development and Logistics Programme (NIDLP) in supporting non-oil economic growth. It approved several decisions and agreements, including implementing regulations of the Law of Real Estate Ownership by Non-Saudis and designated geographical areas for non-Saudi property ownership.
The session also saw the approval of the design and construction of the first joint Saudi-Egyptian satellite and the transformation of the Cultural Archive Unit at the Ministry of Culture into the Saudi Culture Memory Centre. Additionally, memoranda of understanding and cooperation agreements were approved with countries such as the Federal Republic of Germany, the Republic of Maldives, the People's Republic of China, and others in areas including energy, justice, housing, employment, education, and air transport.
