New delhi: Professor Marike Patrani Paulsson, Secretary General of the Council for International Dispute Resolution, engaged in a high-level meeting with Arjun Ram Meghwal, Minister of State, Ministry of Law and Justice of the Republic of India, on the sidelines of the UNCITRAL Celebratory Conference in India. The meeting aimed at enhancing bilateral cooperation in various legal, judicial, and investment avenues between Bahrain and India.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the discussions centered around promoting investment, legal, and judicial collaboration while working towards building modern frameworks for the resolution of international disputes. Both parties emphasized the importance of strengthening institutional and legal ties and identifying the next steps for cooperation.
The meeting also included discussions on supporting cross-border investments and was attended by Anna Joubin-Bret, Secretary of UNCITRAL, R. Venkataramani, Learned Attorney General for India, Dr. S. Jaishankar, Minister of External Affairs of the Republic of India, Dr. Pinky Anand, Former Additional Solicitor General of India and Judge at the Bahrain International Commercial Court, and Mahdi Jaafar, representative of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Bahrain in New Delhi.
