Bahrain Embassy to UK marks Women’s Day

Bahrain’s Ambassador to the United Kingdom Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa and his wife hosted a reception on the 21st Bahrain Women’s Day, annually observed on December1.

The ambassador presented shields to Bahraini women working in the medical and engineering sectors in the UK, PhD researchers in immunology and oncology and economics, in recognition of their efforts to support Bahrain’s development.

MA researcher in construction cost management at the University of Reading Noora Mohammed Al Jowder addressed the ceremony expressing deepest thanks and gratitude to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

She also paid tribute to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister and Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Consort of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), hailing unwavering support to Bahraini women’s empowerment.

He noted women’s strides in representing the Kingdom of Bahrain in regional and international arenas and contributing to national development and progress.
