Manama: The Institutional Communication Center at Arabian Gulf University (AGU) welcomed students participating in the 'Injaz Bahrain Summer Camp,' organized by 'Injaz Bahrain.' The camp's objective is to support educational experiences, develop youth skills, introduce students to academic and professional paths, and enrich their knowledge through interactive learning experiences. During their visit, the students met with Dr. Saad bin Saud Al Fahaid, the University President.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the visit commenced with a reception where students were introduced to the university's academic programs, facilities, laboratories, and educational centers. They viewed an introductory video highlighting the advancement of medical education at the Medical Skills and Simulation Center. This center plays a pivotal role in advancing health education and training by using the latest technologies. Students toured its modern facilities and learned about the training environment it provides, which simulates real-world clinical settings and contributes to preparing healthcare professionals to meet the highest international standards.
The camp participants were divided into groups to engage in a series of interactive educational stations, supervised by faculty members and specialists at the university. These stations included lessons on the basics of examining children, performing vision and hearing tests using medical devices, wound dressing and first aid skills, and examining heart and lung sounds using medical simulators. Additionally, they learned methods for examining newborns and measuring their growth using advanced simulation models.
The program concluded with a closing session where the participating students shared their perspectives on the experience. They highlighted the importance of such initiatives in developing their academic and professional awareness, as well as the benefits gained from this enriching experience.
This visit is part of a series of activities included in the 'Injaz Bahrain Summer Camp,' organized by Injaz Bahrain. The camp aims to enable students to explore future fields of study, enhance their leadership and personal skills, and connect them with inspiring educational and professional environments. This initiative is designed to prepare a generation capable of meeting future demands and contributing to the nation's development.
