Cairo: Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with Nasser Bourita, Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates of the Kingdom of Morocco, on the sidelines of the Council of the Arab League meeting at the ministerial level.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the two ministers reviewed the longstanding relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Kingdom of Morocco and discussed opportunities to further strengthen bilateral cooperation across areas of common interest in support of shared priorities.
They also addressed the latest regional developments and ongoing efforts to promote peace and stability, particularly in light of the memorandum of understanding signed between the United States and Iran, including its provisions to end military operations and restore maritime navigation through the Strait of Hormuz. The two sides further discussed the importance of enhancing Arab coordination and cooperation to address current regional challenges.
The meeting was attended by Shaikh Khalifa bin Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan; Fawzia Zainal, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Arab Republic of Egypt and Permanent Representative to the Arab League; and members of the accompanying delegation.
