Manama: The Meteorological Directorate at the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications has announced that beginning Thursday, the Kingdom of Bahrain will experience increased activity in northwesterly winds. These winds are expected to range from moderate to strong, potentially reaching strong levels during the daytime. The impact of these winds is anticipated to continue over the following days.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Directorate highlighted that the intensifying winds will lead to a decrease in humidity levels, which could result in an improved perceived temperature, even though the hot weather will persist. The Directorate also issued a warning about the potential for blowing dust and sand in exposed areas, which may cause a temporary reduction in horizontal visibility.
In terms of marine conditions, forecasts suggest that sea waves may rise, especially in open waters, due to the activity of the northwesterly winds. This may make conditions unsuitable for certain marine activities during this period.
The Meteorological Directorate has advised the public, particularly those engaging in sea activities, to exercise caution and stay updated with weather bulletins and official warnings issued through authorised channels to ensure their safety.
