AFC President Attends Launch of Saudi Arabia 2027 Asian Cup Visual Identity

Riyadh: Shaikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa, President of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and First Vice President of FIFA, attended the unveiling of the official visual identity of the Saudi Arabia 2027 AFC Asian Cup, held on the sidelines of the AFC U-23 Asian Cup final between Japan and China.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the AFC and the local organising committee revealed the new visual identity of the tournament's 19th edition, with less than a year remaining before kickoff. The identity reflects modernity, confidence, and energy, while showcasing Saudi Arabia's cultural heritage and its role as host of Asia's premier football event.

The launch included the screening of a short film highlighting unity, anticipation, and the unifying power of football across Asia. The official logo features the iconic Asian Cup trophy inspired by Najdi geometric design, complemented by decorative patterns and a colour palette drawn from Saudi Arabia's landscape and cultural character.

The branding concept centres on "Saudi uniqueness" and is designed to inspire future generations across Asia, positioning the tournament as a convergence of culture and competition.

The Saudi Arabia 2027 AFC Asian Cup will be held from January 7 to February 5, 2027, across Riyadh, Jeddah, and Al Khobar, with 24 Asian national teams competing for the continental title.
