Manama: The Equal Opportunities Committee at the Ministry of Finance and National Economy held its periodic meeting for 2026, chaired by Dr. Faisal Isa Hammad, Assistant Undersecretary for Competitiveness and Economic Indicators. The committee reviewed ongoing efforts and initiatives aimed at promoting the principle of equal opportunities and enhancing the institutional work environment. It also discussed progress in implementing this year's action plan and gender-responsive budgets aligned with national plans and directions supporting the advancement of women, contributing to improving workplace efficiency and achieving gender balance.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting also examined several ideas and proposals aimed at further developing the work of the Equal Opportunities Committee and supporting policies and initiatives that promote gender balance. Discussions also addressed the development of the work environment and the encouragement of national talent, contributing to the achievement of the ministry's institutional and development objectives.
