Manama: Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, the Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications, met with participants from the 11th cohort of the Prime Minister's Fellowship Programme, emphasizing Bahrain's ongoing dedication to nurturing national talent. This initiative is part of the broader development agenda spearheaded by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and guided by directives from His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the minister articulated that the fellowship programme underscores Bahrain's commitment to cultivating national talent. It aims to arm participants with the necessary knowledge, expertise, and leadership skills essential for enhancing government performance and bolstering sustainable development efforts.
During the meeting, Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed provided an overview of the Ministry's duties, strategic projects, and initiatives, including the Civil Aviation Affairs strategy. He discussed development plans across various sectors, all designed to solidify Bahrain's status as a regional transport and logistics hub.
The minister conveyed his best wishes to the participants for their ongoing career success, stressing the significance of teamwork, innovation, excellence, and responsibility. In conjunction with the visit, participants were taken on a tour of key facilities including Bahrain International Airport, the Air Traffic Control Building, the Meteorological Directorate, Khalifa Bin Salman Port, the Postal Sorting Centre, and the public transport bus depot. This tour provided insights into the ministry's significant projects, operational systems, and services.
