Telecommunications Undersecretary Explores Strategic Collaboration with Huawei

Manama: Shaikh Ahmed bin Isa bin Duaij Al Khalifa, Assistant Undersecretary for Telecommunications at the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications, recently met with David Dai, Vice President for ICT Solutions and Services in the Gulf Region, and Wu Zi, Director of Government Relations and Public Affairs at Huawei. The discussions centered on enhancing cooperation in digital infrastructure and telecommunications technologies.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Shaikh Ahmed bin Isa emphasized the significance of forming partnerships with leading global technology firms to bolster Bahrain's goal of becoming a prominent digital and connectivity hub in the region. The discussions also highlighted the advancements in next-generation telecommunications, particularly 5G-Advanced technology, which is pivotal in improving network performance and infrastructure capabilities.

The meeting provided an opportunity to assess the progress made under the Sixth National Telecommunication Plan. Both parties exchanged perspectives on the key priorities for the future development of the telecommunications sector, aiming to align their efforts towards achieving shared objectives in technological enhancements and infrastructure development.
