Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs Chairman Engages in Key Discussions at Cairo Conference

Cairo: Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (SCIA), took part in the 36th International Conference of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs. The event is organized by the Ministry of Endowments of the Arab Republic of Egypt.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the conference, held under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, features participation from ministers, officials, senior scholars, thinkers, and researchers. Representatives from religious and official institutions worldwide are gathering to discuss modern intellectual and advocacy issues pertinent to the Islamic nation.

Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Mohammed extended greetings from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister. He stressed the importance of finding a balance between tradition and modernity, emphasizing Islam's tolerance and legislative depth. He noted that work is a significant mission in Islam, connecting faith with ethics. Additionally, he remarked on the impact of artificial intelligence and digital transformation on professions, advocating for a balanced, value-based approach that integrates technology while upholding Islamic principles.

The conference sessions are structured around five main themes, which include examining professions during the era of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in terms of types, etiquette, ethics, and jurisprudence; exploring professions in Muslim history from creativity to civilization building; learning from global civilizations and peoples to shape the future; analyzing the historical, current, and future state of professions in Egypt; and discussing the future of professions in the age of artificial intelligence.
