Education Minister Recognizes Contributions to School Sports Competitions

Manama: The Ministry of Education held the closing ceremony of the school sports championships at the Sheraton Bahrain Hotel to honour the organising teams, partners, and sponsors. The ceremony was attended by Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, Minister of Education.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Dr. Juma commended the significant progress achieved in school sports, including its championships, competitions, and activities. He praised the efforts made throughout the academic year by staff of the Ministry's Physical Education Directorate and the educational and support sectors in organising these events. He also expressed appreciation to partners and sponsors from the private sector for their support of educational and sports programmes and projects, which helped expand the student beneficiaries and contributed to numerous achievements.

The ceremony featured a film that highlighted key moments from the school sports championships and the wide participation of male and female students throughout the academic year, as well as the achievements recorded during the school sports season. The film also announced a number of initiatives and projects that the Ministry plans to implement during the next academic year. The event also included a performance by a number of school students.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, the Education Minister honoured sponsors, partners, and committee members who contributed to organising and ensuring the success of the school sports championships.
