Manama: Shaikh Dr. Rashid bin Mohammed bin Futais Al Hajri, Chairman of the Sunni Endowments, announced that Eid Al Adha prayers will be held at official prayer grounds and mosques at 5:05 am on Wednesday, May 27.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Shaikh Dr. Al Hajri confirmed the readiness of Eid prayer grounds across all governorates of the Kingdom to receive worshippers. He stated that the prayer grounds committee formed for this purpose had designated all main prayer grounds where Eid prayers will be held, in addition to prayer venues allocated for expatriate communities at several schools across the Kingdom.
The designated locations were determined following a meeting held by the prayer grounds committee. These locations include East Hidd, Hidd City, Galali, Arad, Diyar Al Muharraq, Muharraq, Busaiteen, Salmaniya, North Riffa, East Riffa, Hajiyat, Askar, Zallaq, and various sites in Hamad Town, Budaiya, Salman City, and New Ramli Housing. Each site has specific mosques that will remain closed to facilitate the Eid prayers.
Shaikh Dr. Al Hajri also confirmed the readiness of the Endowments to provide necessary amenities such as carpets, electronic and electrical equipment, sound systems, and water. These preparations are ensured through field inspections conducted by a team from the Religious Facilities Operation and Maintenance Section to guarantee worshippers' comfort.
He expressed appreciation for the cooperation received from various entities in preparing the Eid prayer grounds. These include the Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture, Ministry of Information, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Youth Affairs, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, Ministry of Works, Government Hospitals, Electricity and Water Authority (EWA), General Sports Authority (GSA), King Hamad University Hospital, and Bahrain Defence Force (BDF), alongside societies and expatriate community awareness centres.
