Manama: Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, underscored that the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa remains the foundation of Bahrain’s progress across all sectors. He noted that this support has strengthened parliamentary performance, enhanced the legislative system, and advanced national efforts in line with the Kingdom’s comprehensive development process.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Speaker also expressed appreciation for the efforts of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, whose directives have fostered constructive cooperation between the executive and legislative authorities under the Team Bahrain approach.
He commended the continuous coordination with the Shura Council led by Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, and the role of Ghanim bin Fadhel Al Buainain, Minister of Shura and Representatives Councils Affairs, in facilitating legislative-executive collaboration.
Al Musallam thanked the members of the Council of Representatives for their legislative and oversight contributions, emphasising their commitment to national unity, constitutional principles, and serving citizens’ interests.
He noted that the third session of the sixth legislative term witnessed active legislative and oversight efforts, impactful parliamentary diplomacy, and engagement with key national issues. These included improving living standards, enhancing housing and healthcare services, supporting youth employment, and fostering partnerships with the private sector and civil society.
The Speaker also commended Secretary General Mohammed Ibrahim Al Sisi Al Buainain and the Council’s staff for their professional and administrative support, as well as the Bahraini media for covering parliamentary work.
He also thanked the Council’s security personnel and wished them continued success.
