Manama: The Ministry of Social Development has launched the "Knowledge for Fun 2026" initiative, to be held throughout August as part of its summer programme for children and youth aged 7 to 18. The initiative aims to develop participants' knowledge and creative skills through interactive educational activities and experiential learning, helping them make productive use of the summer break while strengthening citizenship, national identity, and social responsibility.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Inas Mohammed Al Majed, Assistant Undersecretary for Community Development at the ministry, stated that the initiative is part of the ministry's efforts to provide high-quality summer programmes through practical learning experiences and partnerships with government and civil society organisations.
Implemented in cooperation with 12 partner organisations, the initiative will accommodate 420 participants at Sharifa Al Awadhi Children and Youth Club and the Children and Youth Club at Muharraq Social Centre. The programme includes 21 field visits designed to introduce participants to the work of national institutions and broaden their knowledge and skills.
Registration is available through the ministry's official @mosdbahrain channels. Applications will be accepted based on age group and programme capacity.
