Shura Chairman Highlights Bahrain’s Humanitarian Efforts on International Day of Charity

Manama: Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of the Shura Council, said the humanitarian and charitable approach of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa contributes to advancing charitable programmes and initiatives and enhancing Bahrain's role in supporting countries and those affected by humanitarian crises and disasters. He noted that Bahrain has become an international model for humanitarian and charitable giving.

According to Bahrain News Agency, marking the International Day of Charity, observed annually on September 5, Al Saleh expressed pride in His Majesty's support for humanitarian and charitable work and His Majesty's commitment to promoting the principles and values of solidarity and social responsibility as foundations for development and progress.

The Shura Chairman commended the continued support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for Bahrain's humanitarian efforts. He highlighted His Royal Highness's efforts to enhance Bahrain's standing in humanitarian work and develop government programmes and initiatives supporting those affected by crises and disasters.

Al Saleh also commended the efforts of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty's Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF), to advance the Foundation's programmes and initiatives and strengthen their humanitarian impact.

The Shura Chairman highlighted the RHF's 25-year record of humanitarian and charitable work, which reflects Bahrain's longstanding commitment to solidarity and giving.

Al Saleh affirmed that Bahrain will remain a nation of peace and humanitarian giving and continue to support efforts that contribute to development and progress worldwide.
