Shura Chairman Condemns Houthi Attacks on Saudi Airport and Aircraft

Jakarta:Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of the Shura Council, has condemned the Houthi terrorist attacks on King Khalid International Airport and a Saudi Airlines aircraft in Saudi Arabia, which resulted in the deaths of three Saudi citizens and injuries to several others.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Al Saleh conveyed his condemnation in a message to Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh, Speaker of the Saudi Shura Council. He described the attacks as clear violations of international laws, including international humanitarian law and the United Nations Charter, posing threats to Saudi Arabia's security, stability, and the safety of civil aviation.

Al Saleh reiterated Bahrain's full solidarity with Saudi Arabia, supporting all measures to protect its sovereignty, security, and the well-being of its citizens and residents. He emphasized that the security and stability of Saudi Arabia are closely linked with those of Bahrain, underscoring the strong relations between the two nations.

The Shura Chairman called for regional and international cooperation to counter Houthi terrorist activities targeting civilian infrastructures and civilian lives, stressing the importance of upholding international law and maintaining regional security and stability. He also extended condolences to the victims' families and wished the injured a swift recovery.
