Manama: Seven overhead power lines in Kuwait were taken out of service due to damage from falling debris following air defense interceptions, according to the Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy. This incident has led to partial power outages in several areas of the country.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the ministry's official spokesperson, Fatima Jawhar Hayat, stated in a press release that technical units are actively working to restore services quickly. She assured that specialized field teams will begin repair operations as soon as the sites are secured, in coordination with security authorities, as reported by the Kuwait news agency (KUNA).
Hayat noted that these teams will carry out a comprehensive damage assessment to facilitate the restoration of the affected lines while adhering to the highest safety and security protocols. She also highlighted that emergency crews are on high alert around the clock to manage any grid disturbances and ensure the continuity of the national power supply.
She urged citizens and residents to exercise caution and rely solely on official sources for information, promising further updates as the situation develops.
