SCYS Secretary General Reaffirms Commitment to Youth Development Through Youth City 2030

Manama: Ayman bin Tawfiq Almoayed, Secretary General of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), highlighted the ongoing impact of Youth City 2030 as a pivotal national initiative for youth development in Bahrain. Now in its 15th edition, the program aims to equip young Bahrainis with essential skills and opportunities for future readiness.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Almoayed emphasized the program's alignment with the Kingdom's commitment to youth empowerment under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. Over the past 15 years, Youth City 2030 has established itself as a key platform for nurturing young talent, preparing them to contribute effectively to Bahrain's progress.

Almoayed acknowledged the influential support and guidance of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, which have been instrumental in enhancing the program's effectiveness. This support ensures that young Bahrainis receive the necessary knowledge and skills to navigate a rapidly changing job market.

Further, Almoayed praised the ongoing backing from His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, who is the Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the SCYS. His Highness's dedication to the program ensures its continued evolution, aligning training opportunities with the goals of Bahraini youth.

The remarks from Almoayed came in anticipation of the 15th edition launch of Youth City 2030, set to begin on July 12. The program, a collaboration between the Ministry of Youth Affairs and the Labour Fund (Tamkeen), receives additional support from Tarteeb for Events and Marketing and Winners Football Club.

Almoayed noted that the program has historically played a significant role in the development of thousands of young Bahrainis, offering a platform to explore talents, enhance leadership skills, and prepare for diverse career paths. This year's edition will feature an expanded array of specialized training programs focusing on burgeoning fields like artificial intelligence, technology, the digital economy, entrepreneurship, and leadership, aiming to better equip participants for future careers.

He urged Bahraini youth to seize the opportunities provided by Youth City 2030, stressing that success today relies not only on academic achievement but also on lifelong learning, practical skill development, and opportunity creation.
