Manama: Aymen bin Tawfiq Almoayyed, Secretary General of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport (SCYS), said Bahrain continues to strengthen its role as a regional example in volunteerism, noting that humanitarian work remains an integral part of the Kingdom's approach to social development.
According to Bahrain News Agency, directives from His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, have supported the expansion of volunteer programmes across various domains. Almoayyed highlighted the efforts of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty the King's Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, in motivating young people to participate in initiatives that generate meaningful community benefits.
He noted that Bahraini volunteers continue to play an active role in relief, social, and community programmes, supported by civil society organisations and youth groups. Almoayyed emphasised the SCYS's commitment to supporting volunteer initiatives and expanding opportunities for youth participation in national development.
