Cairo:Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, extended his congratulations to Saad bin Solaib bin Mutlaq Al Otaibi on his election by acclamation as President of the Arab Parliament. The election took place during the first procedural session of the third session of its fourth legislative term, held at the Arab League headquarters in Cairo.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Al Musallam noted that Al Otaibi's election is a testament to the trust his fellow parliamentarians have in his experience, competence, and contributions to parliamentary work both in Saudi Arabia and across the Arab region. The Speaker described this as a significant achievement for Saudi Arabia.
Al Musallam also reaffirmed the support of the Council of Representatives of the Kingdom of Bahrain for the Arab Parliament. He emphasized Bahrain's commitment to strengthening cooperation and advancing joint Arab action through parliamentary diplomacy in regional and international forums. Furthermore, he wished Al Otaibi success in his new role as President of the Arab Parliament.
