Tashkent:Shaikha Hayat bint Abdulaziz Al Khalifa, Chairperson of the Bahrain Table Tennis Association, has been elected to the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) Council as Asia's representative. The election occurred during the Asian Table Tennis Union (ATTU) General Assembly in Tashkent, the capital of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Shaikha Hayat bint Abdulaziz received 20 out of 32 votes, surpassing three other candidates. This outcome underscores the confidence and respect she holds within the Asian table tennis community and highlights the prominence of Bahraini talent in both continental and international sports organizations.
Shaikha Hayat bint Abdulaziz also holds the position of Vice President of the ATTU for West Asia. Her election is a recognition of her ongoing contributions and service to the sport.
