Manama: Primary Healthcare Centres, in cooperation with the Bahrain Society for Children with Behavioural and Communication Difficulties, inaugurated a sensory room at A'ali Health Centre to provide a supportive therapeutic and educational environment that helps develop children's sensory and behavioural skills while enhancing the quality of services provided to them.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the inauguration was attended by Dr. Lulwa Rashid Showaiter, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health and Deputy Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of Primary Healthcare Centres; members of the Board of Trustees; Dr. Ejlal Faisal Al Alawi, Chief Executive Officer of Primary Healthcare Centres; Dr. Shaikha Rania bint Ali Al Khalifa, Chairperson of the Bahrain Society for Children with Behavioural and Communication Difficulties; and a number of officials.
Dr. Al Alawi stated that the sensory room reflects the Primary Healthcare Centres' commitment to continuing to provide comprehensive and integrated healthcare services that meet the needs of all segments of society. She noted that the initiative highlights the importance of partnerships with civil society organisations in developing healthcare services and enhancing the quality of care provided to children with behavioural and communication difficulties, supporting their development and improving their quality of life.
For her part, Dr. Shaikha Rania bint Ali Al Khalifa commended the cooperation with the Primary Healthcare Centres, noting that the sensory room marks an important step in enhancing services provided to children with behavioural and communication difficulties. She added that it offers a specialised environment that supports the development of children's sensory, cognitive and behavioural abilities, contributing positively to their development and integration into society.
