Parliamentary Division Engages in Seminar on AI and Extremism in Amman

Amman: A delegation from the Parliamentary Division participated in a parliamentary seminar in Amman, organized by the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean (PAM), to discuss legislative and political measures to prevent the misuse of artificial intelligence and modern technologies for extremist and terrorist purposes. The delegation included MPs Hanan Mohammed Ferdan and Mohsen Ali Al Asbool, along with legal and technical experts from the Council of Representatives and the Shura Council.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the delegation highlighted Bahrain's commitment to strengthening national legislation and international cooperation to ensure the responsible use of technology. They emphasized that these efforts align with the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, to promote global peace, security, and tolerance.

The delegation also commended the support of Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives and Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Parliamentary Division, for his leadership in enhancing Bahrain's participation in international parliamentary initiatives.
