Riyadh: The Kingdom of Bahrain's national volleyball team will kick off its campaign at the 6th Islamic Solidarity Games in Riyadh with an opening match against Iran scheduled for 4pm on Wednesday at Boulevard Arena. The Games are set to officially commence on Friday and will continue until November 21.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the team is entering the tournament with high ambitions following its historic victory at the Asian Men's Volleyball Championship held in Bahrain last June. Preparations for the game concluded on Tuesday with a tactical training session focused on both attack and defense, as the team aims for a solid start before their next match against Saudi Arabia on Saturday.
The competition serves as an opportunity for Bahrain to showcase the growth of its volleyball program and highlight the country's sporting progress on both regional and international stages. In addition to volleyball, Bahrain's delegation, consisting of over 180 athletes, is competing in 19 sports, marking the largest participation by the country in the Games to date.
