Manama: Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Bin Daina, Minister of Oil and Environment and Special Envoy for Climate Affairs, participated in the Tatarstan Oil, Gas and Petrochemical Forum 2026, held from August 26 to 28 at the Kazan Expo International Exhibition Centre in Tatarstan. During a panel discussion, Dr. Bin Daina emphasised the importance of international forums in exchanging expertise and discussing developments and future trends in the energy sector.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Dr. Bin Daina highlighted that oil and gas remain central to global energy security and economic growth. He stressed the need for investment in operational efficiency, national capabilities, and advanced technologies. He also pointed out the significance of artificial intelligence and data analytics in improving resource efficiency and supporting a more resilient and sustainable energy sector.
On the sidelines of the forum, Dr. Bin Daina attended the Kazan Oil, Gas and Chemistry exhibition, where he reviewed developments in oil, gas, refining, and petrochemicals. Additionally, he met with Rustam Minnikhanov, Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan, to discuss cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and Tatarstan, particularly in the energy sector, as well as current developments and future trends in the sector.
