NBR Hosts Interactive VAT Session Targeting SMEs

Manama: The National Bureau for Revenue (NBR) organized an interactive engagement session as part of its Musanada initiative, aimed at supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and enhancing compliance with value-added tax (VAT) regulations by offering practical guidance to simplify VAT-related procedures. The session witnessed significant participation from business owners across different sectors.

According to Bahrain News Agency, participants were able to benefit from an interactive platform that facilitated support and clarification on essential VAT-related issues. Specialists from the bureau were on hand to respond directly to enquiries from attendees. The session provided a comprehensive awareness experience, covering various aspects such as VAT registration procedures, updating registered information, simplified steps for submitting returns, amending estimated returns, settling dues, and the procedure for deregistration once conditions are met.

The National Bureau for Revenue has stated its commitment to continue holding live sessions under the Musanada initiative, along with other support meetings throughout the year. These efforts are intended to ensure that owners of small and medium-sized enterprises are fully informed of all VAT obligations and requirements, thereby enhancing overall compliance levels.
