Muharraq: Naseej has officially initiated the infrastructure works for its Amwaj Avenue project located at the entrance to the Amwaj Islands in Muharraq Governorate. This significant event was attended by Bassem bin Yaqoob Al Hamar, President of the Survey and Land Registration Bureau (SLRB); Ahmed Abdulaziz Al Khayyat, Chief Executive of the Urban Planning and Development Authority (UPDA); and Amin Al Arrayed, Chief Executive Officer of Naseej.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Al Hamar emphasized that the project showcases the ongoing growth of Bahrain's real estate sector and highlights the robust public-private partnerships that bolster urban development. He assured the SLRB's dedication to aiding developers by simplifying procedures, speeding up transactions, and issuing title deeds, thereby enhancing project readiness and the overall investment climate.
Al Khayyat noted that the groundbreaking marks a crucial milestone, indicating the project's shift from planning to actual implementation. He reiterated the UPDA's commitment to promoting sustainable urban development through strategic projects and collaboration with the private sector.
Al Arrayed highlighted that the project is one of Naseej's flagship mixed-use developments, aligning with the company's vision of forming integrated and sustainable communities. He expressed appreciation for the support from the UPDA and SLRB in moving the project to the implementation phase.
The initial phase of the project involves constructing roads, utilities, and essential infrastructure. The mixed-use development covers approximately 125,000 square metres and includes 253 residential plots and 27 investment plots, strategically positioned at the entrance to the Amwaj Islands.
