Manama: Amna bint Ahmed Al Romaihi, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, visited Youth City 2030 alongside Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, to review the programmes and initiatives offered as part of the event's 15th edition, organised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs in partnership with the Labour Fund (Tamkeen).
According to Bahrain News Agency, during the visit, Minister Al Romaihi toured the city's training centres and reviewed programmes designed to equip Bahraini youth with the skills and knowledge needed for the future labour market, while fostering creativity, innovation, and leadership.
She also visited the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning's pavilion, which hosts the ninth stop of the ministry's Mobile Housing Finance and Services Branch initiative. The initiative introduces young people to housing services and financing solutions, raises awareness of available financing options, and encourages early planning for future housing needs.
Minister Al Romaihi stated that the cooperation between the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning and the Ministry of Youth Affairs reflects effective government coordination in implementing initiatives that support Bahraini youth. She commended Youth City 2030 for its specialised programmes, describing it as one of Bahrain's leading national youth development initiatives over the past 15 years.
She added that empowering young people and enhancing their readiness remain key pillars of national development, noting that the ministry's participation aims to familiarise youth with housing services and financing solutions, enabling them to make informed decisions and plan for a stable future.
