Municipalities Minister Visits Remote Municipal Customer Service Centre

Manama: Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak, Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture, visited the newly launched Remote Municipal Customer Service Centre, where he reviewed its operations and affirmed the ministry's commitment to advancing municipal services through digital transformation, streamlining procedures, and enhancing the customer experience in line with the government's public service development agenda.According to Bahrain News Agency, the minister stressed the importance of maintaining high service standards, continuously improving performance, and investing in Bahraini national talent to support the municipal sector's digital transformation.Shaikh Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Undersecretary for Municipal Affairs, said the centre provides a unified platform that simplifies access to municipal services and strengthens integration across digital systems. He added that the centre processed more than 1,100 transactions during its first week of operation, averaging 220 transactions per day, re flecting its effectiveness in improving access to municipal services and communication with beneficiaries.The minister was also briefed on the centre's integrated digital system for handling requests, enquiries, and reports. He also reviewed the communication channels available to beneficiaries, including the unified hotline (17989898), WhatsApp, video appointments via the Mawaeed application, and email ([email protected]), enabling users to complete transactions and access municipal services remotely without visiting municipal offices.
