Masaken 2 Housing Project Inaugurated in East Hidd City Under Patronage of HRH Princess Sabeeka

East hidd city: Under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, the "Masaken 2" housing project in East Hidd City was inaugurated, marking a significant step in advancing housing services for Bahraini women.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the inauguration ceremony was graced by the presence of Her Highness Shaikha Hessa bint Khalifa Al Khalifa, Amna bint Ahmed Al Rumaihi, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, and Lulwa bint Saleh Al Awadhi, Secretary General of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), among other dignitaries. In her speech, HH Shaikha Hessa bint Khalifa conveyed HRH Princess Sabeeka's gratitude to the Ministry of Housing for its dedication to enhancing the security and stability of Bahraini families.

HH Shaikha Hessa highlighted the alignment of these efforts with the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the support from His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa. The initiative aligns with the government programme (2023-2026) that focuses on providing innovative housing solutions. She also emphasized the role of the Supreme Council for Women in the issuance of Decision (12) of 2004, which advocates for the rights of Bahraini women to access housing services.

HH Shaikha Hessa noted the success of the first Masaken project in Al Lawzi, Hamad Town, inaugurated in 2016, and expressed hopes to expand similar projects across the Kingdom. Al Rumaihi echoed these sentiments, expressing the Ministry's pride in HRH Princess Sabeeka's support for empowering Bahraini women through such initiatives.

Al Rumaihi detailed the completion of the "Masaken 2" project, which includes construction, facilities, and infrastructure. The project is prepared to begin the allocation phase, offering modern housing options tailored to the needs of Bahraini women. She also mentioned that since 2011, the Ministry has provided over 6,555 housing and financing services to Bahraini women.

The inauguration included a field tour led by HH Shaikha Hessa, featuring a modern residential building with 49 apartments, designed to provide a safe and comfortable environment. The project boasts multipurpose community facilities, integrated security systems, and features for persons with special needs, establishing it as a model for adequate housing standards.
