LMRA Enhances Labour Supply Agency Licence Cancellation Service

Manama: As part of the government's ongoing efforts to enhance service quality and re-engineer government services, the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) has upgraded its labour supply agency licence cancellation service into a digital service. This new system allows licence holders to automatically cancel their licence to operate a labour supply agency when their commercial registration is cancelled by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, eliminating the need to submit supporting documents.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the processing time under the enhanced service has been reduced from two working days to an immediate automated procedure through digital transformation. This upgrade also includes standardisation of service information across all channels, enhancing service efficiency and offering beneficiaries a more straightforward experience.

Ahmed Ibrahim Al Aradi, LMRA Deputy Chief Executive for Services and Business Affairs, mentioned that the enhanced service is part of the authority's efforts to adopt innovative digital solutions that improve service efficiency, simplify procedures and enhance the customer experience. He emphasized that the service reflects LMRA's commitment to improving service quality, saving time and effort, and strengthening operational effectiveness.

As part of a broader government initiative to develop and re-engineer public services, over 1,300 government services have been documented, translated, and published. Approximately 800 of these services have been developed and re-engineered across various government entities based on proposals and feedback from the national suggestions and complaints system, Tawasul, investor feedback, and government secret shopper reports. The initiative also includes the introduction of service guides and service level agreements, contributing to more efficient procedures, higher-quality public services, an improved user experience, and the advancement of the government's digital transformation agenda.
